Kennedy Charter Public School
The school serves community students placed by parents who are concerned their children may be at risk of failure in a traditional school setting. The middle and high schools are located in separate areas with curriculums designed to help students overcome academic weaknesses and achieve success in the classroom. Students are helped to develop social skills and learn appropriate behaviors for interacting with others. A favorable pupil/teacher ratio, well trained staff and individualized instruction contribute to each student’s academic, social and emotional growth.
In the Fall of 2009, The Francis Elementary School Program will open and serve elementary age students. The school will open with grades K-1, then add a grade each year until all elementary grades are served.
The new multipurpose gymnasium and wellness center will increase opportunities for recreation, exercise and team sports.
The school, accredited by the state, is funded with local, state and federal monies, as well as private donations.
