Elon Homes and Schools for Children, Inc. (EHSC), has announced that it has sold its Elon, NC, campus to Elon University. EHSC will expand its specialized and therapeutic foster care services in Alamance County and the Triad area using regional offices located in church facilities. This transaction reflects the national trend in the significant reduction of the number of children in the US child welfare system as well as community- and home-based services being used for the children that remain in custody for care.
